Fabuła. Cormoran Strike pracuje jako prywatny detektyw, jednak jego życie to pasmo ciągłych porażek. Jako żołnierz stracił w Afganistanie nogę, po powrocie popadł w długi, zamierzał rozejść się z narzeczoną, a nawet zamieszkał w swoim biurze, w którym i tak pojawiało się niewielu klientów.
Ciekawą personą jest Cormoran Strike. Okej, nie jest to może detektyw na miarę Sherlocka Holmesa, ale jego ludzkie słabości, cały bagaż życiowy, jaki ze sobą niesie i genialny umysł, sprawiły, że bardzo go polubiłam. A już jego relacje z Robin – mistrzostwo!
